Great class (as usual) tonight. There was just Kel and myself and we worked on fundamentals (the REALLY important stuff), including footwork, the aiki basic instinct (offline+hands up), and hanasu #1-4. We spent a good amount of time on this stuff, finally zooming in on chain #3, which gives us an opportunity to play with wakigatame (gokyo) and kotegaeshi. After we beat that to death we spent a lot of time on shomenate (the basis of everything in aikido) and previewed aigamaeate and gyakugamaeate. Kel is doing good aiki work. I think he'll be a 'good un.

Hey! It's Chops here. I like my picture, lol. What happened to the "quogr?" I liked that. I've made my fat ass start working out again and I miss seeing the quote about (and i paraphrase)' My head/arm/whatever hurts, but I am aware of no weakness.' Great quote. Anyway, keep on postin' and I'll keep on enjoyin'. Or I'll throw a ki blast at you. lol.
Chops.
I like the wuotes too, but I was having trouble with the quogr templates that display them. I'd like to find a better way to display them but haven't had the chance to work quogr over enough to get it to act like I wanted.
I think that paarticular quote is my favorite too: "I am tired. My arm aches. My head boils. My feet are cold. But I am not aware of any weakness." (Zane Grey)
My other fav is "They've got us surrounded again, the poor bastards." (Creighton W. Abrams, Jr.)
But then again, they're all great quotes. I'll work on getting quogr whipped into shape.
