So, this week it'll be unseasonably cold at Mokuren Dojo. Perhaps the coldest weather we've had since the dojo has been in Magnolia. I decided that instead of doing the gi and barefeet thing, we'd be doing winter clothes and shoes martial arts. We're also not going to be falling or rolling on the frozen concrete floor.
So, what aspects of judo can you do in regular (heavy) clothes and shoes without falling down?
- uchikomi (setting throws up without throwing)
- the newly-resurrected gonokata
- much of goshinjutsu and kimenokata
